Faktor – Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Penggunaan Smartphone Pada Petani Padi Sawah Di Kabupaten Tanah Datar Provinsi Sumatera Barat

ABSTRACT
The aims of this study were (1) to find out the characteristics of smartphone users
in lowland rice farmers in Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province. (2)
Knowing the access and function of smartphones in lowland rice farmers in Tanah
Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province.(3) Knowing the factors that influence the
use of smartphones in lowland rice farmers in Tanah Datar Regency, West
Sumatra Province. The research method is a survey method with a sample of 120
rice farmers. Determination of farmer respondents using the Purposive Sampling
technique with the provisions of farmers who have lowland rice fields and
smartphones. Data analysis used descriptive analysis to identify characteristics,
Likert scale to determine access and function of smartphone use and Structural
Equation Modeling to determine factors that influence smartphone use. The
results showed that the characteristics of farmers were categorized as good, the
access and function of using smartphones were in the pretty good category. The
factors that influence the use of smartphones are usability, interest and actual use
