Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Conceptual Understanding Procedures Berbantuan Media Phet Simulations Terhadap Hasil Belajar Kognitif Siswa Kelas XI SMA Pada Materi Gelombang Cahaya
This study aims to describe the differences in cognitive learning
outcomes of students using the CUPs learning model assisted by PhET
Simulations media and conventional learning. The research was conducted at
SMAN 4 Pekanbaru in class XI MIPA by taking a sample of 72 students from a
population of 144 students. The research method used is the experimental method
with a true experimental design. The form of the research design used is the
posttest-only control design. The research data was obtained through cognitive
learning outcomes tests after the light wave material had been taught. The test
questions were prepared based on indicators of cognitive learning outcomes in
light waves and referred to Anderson's Revised Bloom's Taxonomy with a total of
20 questions containing cognitive levels C1 to C5. The research results obtained
after the descriptive analysis test, namely the learning outcomes of the
experimental class were in the good category with an average of 73.06, while the
control class was in a fairly good category with an average of 60.42. Through the
independent t-test hypothesis testing technique, a value of 0.000 was obtained
which indicated that there was a significant difference between the control class
and the experimental class. The conclusion from this study is that the application
of the CUPs model assisted by PhET media in light wave learning has a positive
influence on students' cognitive learning outcomes.
