Tourism in Indonesia is one of the sectors that generates the largest income for the State as seen from the Tourism Law Number 10 of 2009 Article 1. Tourism development requires participation from the community around the tourist attraction to develop and advance a tourist attraction. Pokdarwis was formed to develop the community in an effort to improve welfare in the economic field and have readiness and concern around the tourist attraction in order to act as a good host. The results showed that the forms of participatory communication consisted of three stages, namely the planning, implementation and utilization of results. In the planning stage, the community participates by monitoring, giving suggestions, and supervising the management of tourist attractions. The second is the implementation stage, where the community participates in the program being run. The third stage is the utilization of the results, in this stage the community provides their efforts and energy to run the program or project that has been built. The form of guidance received consists of two forms, namely directly and indirectly. Directly given through training, discussions, competitions, and socialization.
