The circulation of various information on the TikTok social media account has become one of the public's concerns regarding the viral Hashtag Pekanbaruberdarah. Based on one of the reports from capkaplah. com dated September 13 2022, it is stated that the city of Pekanbaru is currently not doing well due to the large number of motorbike gangs that are disturbing the public in at night. The problem is the viral Hashtag Pekanbaru bloody which is disturbing students in the city of Pekanbaru. Initially there was a feeling of trust in the incident but it turned out to be a hoax after it was clarified by the Riau Regional Police.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative, through this method the researcher will explain in detail the perception of the bloody Hashtag Pekanbaru phenomenon among students in Pekanbaru. This research uses interview techniques based on interview drafts, then continues with observation by observing fyp in the media TikTok social related Hashtag Pekanbaru bloody and documentation. This documentation collects data related to the Hashtag Pekanbarublood in the form of images, visuals and so on which are analyzed through perception theory.
The results of this research are that students' sensations are influenced by internal factors, where in these factors students feel a sensation of fear and restlessness, while external factors form a sensation of negative assumptions in the viral information from the Hashtag Pekanbaru bloody which turns out to be a hoax. Then students' attention is seen on socio-cultural factors both on the positive and negative sides, then influenced by the psychological goals of personal validity and self-existence in the behavior of spreading hoax information from the Hashtag Pekanbaru bloody and then influenced by environmental target factors where the target communicators are motorbike gangs and individual as the perpetrator. And finally, the student's interpretation is that there are past experience factors related to the basis of the klewang incident in 2011, then there is a lack of media literacy specifically on social media so that what students feel is that it is easy to spread careless information that is published on social media because there is no the rules that govern it. Apart from that, it is also influenced by the assessment side as a trust issue for students who in the end no longer easily believe the information circulating on TikTok social media accounts because they have already been caught up in hoax information.
