This research was conducted from January 2023 to May 2023 on Kasiak Island, North Pariaman, Pariaman City, West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this research is to determine the suitability of coastal tourism on Kasiak Island Beach,. The method used for determining the research stations was simple random sampling. The research stations were selected based on the parameter data for water quality index and physical oceanography. Data collected for the parameters of environmental physical conditions included brightness, beach topography, current velocity, and beach slope, while data collected for the water quality index parameters included dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, temperature, and salinity. The research station areas were represented by four stations, with Station I representing the northern area, Station II representing the western area, Station III representing the eastern area, and Station IV representing the southern area, chosen with consideration of the cardinal directions. Each observed station was repeated three times with intervals of 30 meters, 20 meters, and 10 meters from Kasiak Island. Based on the observed parameters of environmental physical conditions, including beach type, beach width, water depth, water type, water brightness, current velocity, beach slope, beach land cover, and distance to freshwater sources taken at Kasiak Island Beach, The average IKW value at Kasiak Island Beach was 2.55, categorized as "highly suitable." The "highly suitable" category indicates that there are no significant limiting factors for a sustainable specific use or only minor limiting factors that do not have a major impact.
