Penanganan Lokasi Rawan Kecelakaan (Blackspot Area) Di Persimpangan Tak Bersinyal Kota Pekanbaru
The economic improvement and population growth that occurs in Pekanbaru City can lead to an increase in people's welfare in owning motorized vehicles. The large number of motorized vehicles in Pekanbaru City can influence the level of traffic jams and accidents due to traffic density. Traffic density can cause problems such as traffic conflicts and even traffic accidents. Traffic accident cases cause significant losses, therefore handling unsignalized intersections prone to accidents needs to be done as a form of effort to reduce accidents that occur at unsignalized intersections in Pekanbaru City. In this research, accident data was obtained from the Traffic Police Unit of Pekanbaru City for 5 years (2018 to 2022). From this data, a location screening process was carried out using the Excess Predicted Average Crash Frequency Using Method of Moments and Probability of Specific Crash Types Exceeding Threshold Proportion method. There are two unsignalized intersection locations prone to accidents, namely Simpang Jl. Jend. Sudriman – Arifin Ahmad and Jl. Yos Sudarso – Lembaga. This accident occurred because of dominant conflicts such as conflicts in the same direction and conflicts in the opposite direction turning right. So recommendations for handling are needed, such as installing warning signs and prohibition signs, providing cycling facilities and crossing facilities as well as installing street lights and road spikes. The BCR value obtained at Simpang Jl. Jend. Sudirman – Arifin Ahmad is 61,821 while for Simpang Jl. Yos Sudarso – Lembaga is 2,738.
