Skrining Potensi Antibakteri Ekstrak Daun Mangrove Rhizophora Apiculata Sebagai Bahan Antibiotik Alami
This research was conducted from February to May 2024 at Bandar Bakau, Pangkalan Sesai Village, West Dumai. Samples taken in the form of mangrove leaves, then analyzed at the Marine Microbiology Laboratory, Department of Marine Science, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of R. apiculata mangrove leaf extract to be used as antibiotic material against pathogenic bacteria. The methods used in this research are survey methods and experimental methods. The results obtained were phytochemical tests of R. apiculata leaf extracts containing alkaloid compounds, saponins, tannins, and terpenoids, and steroids. The results of the antibacterial activity test of R. apiculata mangrove leaf extracts (after deducting the diameter of the disc paper by 6 mm) against Aeromonas hydrophilla from Bandar Bakau Dumai showed the average clear zone diameter of 2-14 mm. The results of the antibacterial activity test of R.apiculata mangrove leaf extract against Vibrio alginolyticus showed an average clear zone diameter of 3-7.5 mm. The results of the antibacterial activity test of R.apiculata mangrove leaf extract against Pseudomonas aeruginosa showed an average clear zone diameter of 0.5-7.5 mm.
