Uji Toksisitas Akut Dan Sub-Kronik Logam Berat Cd (Kadmium) Terhadap Ikan Pantau (Rasbora Lateristriata, Blkr)
Acute toxicity and chronic test of heavy metal Cd toward fish of
pantau (Rasbora lateristria, Blecker) have been done from March – May
2008, in the Laboratory Of Water Quality Management, Faculty of
Fisheries and Marine Science, Riau University, Pekanbaru. This
experiment aimed to determine the lethal and subchronic concentration
of the toxicant Cd toward Rasbora lateristriata, Blecker which is an
economic value freshwater species in Indonesia, especially in Riau.
Result of the experiments indicated that heavy metal Cd effect,
the mortality, absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, survival rate
and behavior of R. Lateristriata. LC50 48 and Biological Safety Level
value were 3.2 μg/l and 0.032 μg /l, respectively. While the AF
(Application Factor) value is 0.01. Evaluation on the safe concentration
level of the heavy metal Cd (cadmium) toxicant was based on the data
obtained from subchronic tests (i,e. Effects on the absolute weight
growth, daily growth rate, survivak rate and behavior). The estimate
values of NOEC (No Observed Effect Concentration) for heavy metal
Cd toxicant was 0,032 μg /l.
Key words: Toxicity, Cadmium, Subchronic, Rasbora lateristriata, Blecker.
