ABSTRACT
This research purposed to analyze behavior of Singapore to the extradition treaty dealed with Indonesia. In Singapore there are several elite group influencing Singapore’s foreign policy decision making, such as president, ministers, parlementarians and others. Singapore’s economic elite also influencing in policy formation, it is to protect Singapore’s economy. Each individual is defferent in dealing with issues, regarding an extradition treaty with Indonesia.
The theory in this research is applied foreign policy decision making model III, the political-bureaucratic theory argued by Graham T.Allison. According to this theory, foreign policy is the result of the interaction procces, adjustmen and the politics between the various actors and organizations. Foreign policy behavior is not a monolithic behavior of an actor. The behavior is the result of political game in making decision and in implementing that decision.
The result of this research is Singapore support the extradition treaty with Indonesia, proved with signed an extradition treaty and DCA in 2007 to protect Singapore’s national interest not disturbed by proposed Singapore-Indonesia extradition treaty one packet with DCA.
