Contractor services company in Indonesia has entered the era of
globalization with the start of the State of Indonesia to be part of the AFTA (Asean
Free Trade Area). This requires a local contractor services company in Indonesia,
each region must prepare the company's internal (internal factor) to compete with
foreign contractors and local fellow contractors. The internal factor is the
management, human resources, finance, and technology. Analytical methods AHP
(Analytical Hierarchy Process) with the aid of expert choice program is used to
determine significant factors affecting the performance of contractors and to know
preparedness of contractors in competing in the era of globalization.
Method of statistical analysis with the help of SPSS v.14 software is used to
examine the relationship between internal factors through correlation tests, reliable
tests, and descriptive. Results of statistical analysis found fourteen (14) internal
factors which affect each other and intertwined. So that can be made hierarchical
relationship of each internal factors with AHP analysis. The results of AHP analysis
with the help of expert choice programs found that the most significant factor in
contractors company is the ability of the initial capital in getting the project. In
addition, contractors readiness in the face of competition by 42.2% and 57.8% for its
unpreparedness. Then a local contractor can be said is not ready to face the
globalization era yet.
