Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas IVa SD Negeri 48 Pekanbaru
Problem of the research is low social sciences student achievement on fourth graderes at SDN 48 Pekanbaru, with average of 64,86.And minimum completeness criteria (KKM) social studies is 70.It is needs to be improved to increase student learning achievement. Improvement efforts conducted by applying the model of student Think Pair Share type Cooperative Learning. This research is classroom action research were carried out in three cycles. This research was conducted on fourth graderes SDN 48 Pekanbaru academic year 2013/2014.Time of research was conducted on 1 November until 29November 2013. Subject of research is IVa graderes at SDN 48 Pekanbaru which contains of 36 students. They are consisting of 21 boys and 15 girls. Data collection techniques used observation sheet to observe teachers and activities during the learning process and learning achievement. Result of research showed that average of student basic score is 64.86. This is increased in the first daily test on first cycle become 69.44. So improving student achievement from the base score to the first cycle is 7.06%. The second cycle daily student average resul of student achievement is 81.94. Has increased from the base score to the second cycle an increase of 26.33%.The third daily on third cycle average students achievement is 92.50. Has increased from the base score to the third cycle an increase of 42.64%. Teachers activities in learning process in first meeting of first cycle is 66.66% and for the second meeting has increased become 70.83%. The second cycle of the first meeting is 79.16% and the second meeting has increased become 83.33%. The third cycle of the first meeting is 87.5% and the second meeting has increased become 95.83%. Student activity in first cycle of first meeting is 58.33% and for the second meeting has become 62.5%. The second cycle of the first meeting is 70.83% and the second meeting has increased become 75%. The third cycle of the first meeting is 87.5% and the second meeting has increased become 95.83%. Based on the explanation above shows that Application of the model of Cooperative Learning Think Pair Share (TPS)can improvestdent achievement in social science on fourth graderes at SDN 48 Pekanbaru.
