Perancangan Mesin Pengupas Sabut Kelapa Berbasiskan Metode Quality Function Deployment (Qfd)
The coconut farmers used a manually or traditional technology to de-husking coconut in areas of Indragiri Hilir. To overcome the problems then a coconut de-husking machine is design using based on Quality Function Deployment (QFD) principle. The purpose of this study was to obtain design parameters coconut de-husking machine accordance to the wishes of the society. From the results of questionnaires a parameter in the design is: Easy to use. Cheaper product. Quick in process. Safety to use. Portable product. Sparepart available on market . and easy to maintained. After testing the validity spss 17,0 then obtained item the highest significant value that is easy to use, with a value corrected item-total correlationis 0,430. From the result ranking (HOQ) which is a top priority in the design of coconut de husking machine are ergonomic design, with a total value of weightinterest rate 172,02. The second priority is the dimension tool with a total value of weightinterest rate 99,86. And the third priority is the selection of materials and components supporting coconut de husking machine with a total value of weight interest rate 90,46.
