Estimasi Cadangan Karbon Pada Vegetasi Rhizophora Apiculata Dan Karbon Organik Tanah Di Ekosistem Mangrove Pulau Cawan Indragiri Hilir, Riau
Rhizophora apiculata is the dominant mangrove species found in Pulau Cawan Regency Indragiri Hilir, Riau. The mangrove species has a significant role in carbon sequestration. This aim of this research was to determine of biomass, carbon stock and sequestration of CO2 in R. apiculata, as well as the analysis of soil organic carbon in each layer depth. This research was conducted in September-November 2017. Field survey method, allometric analysis of biomass, non-destructive sampling for the stand diameter, carbon estimation and assessment CO2 were applied. Soil organic carbon was analyzed with Los On Ignation method in Marine Chemical Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Faculty, University of Riau. Average biomass, carbon stock and sequestration CO2 amount 45.51 ton/ha, 21.39 ton C/ha and 78.43 ton CO2/ha. the highest deposits of soil organic carbon in the layer depth of 30-50 cm amounted to 95.01 ton C/ha. R. apiculata stand carbon and soil organic carbon has positive regression result with y = 376,41 + 0,821x. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient (r = 0.48) showed the intermediate relationship and determination value (R2) was 0.2271.
