Coconut potency in Indragiri Hilir Regency has high economic value, but now coconut farmers still husk the coconut manually by using tools made of sharp-pointed and long iron that is plugged into the ground. To cue the farmers into a modern farming style, the author's idea came up to make a machine that can help husking the coconut. Coconut Peeler can simplify the process of husking coconut with a capacity of 600 pieces / hour and is more safety to the operator. The principle of working of the coconut peeler is by putting the coconut fruit into the hopper in, then the pivot shaft pipe will rip the coconut husk until detached from its shell and coconut fruit of stripping result comes out through hole of hooper out. Making coconut peeler uses components such as motor, reducer, sprocket, and chain. Besides, the coconut fruit that can be husked is only local coconut of Tembilahan. The results of coconut peeler testing that is done can simplify the process of coconut husking and can reduce the high level of accident risk in coconut husking, but renewal or modification for this coconut peeler is needed in order that the performance can reach the design targett and be more maximal.
