This study aims to evaluate the government support in replanting the old rubber plantation (PKTR) of rubber farmers in Gunung Toar District Kuantan Singingi Regency.
The research was conducted in Petapahan, Koto Gunung, and Toar Villages of Gunung Toar. This study used proportionate stratified random sampling method. The 16 participants were interviewed from 8 rubber farmers groups in these three villages, each consisted of 2 key informants (head and secretary of each rubber farmers group). The method is descriptive qualitative, using Logical Framework as one of the program evaluation model analysis.
The results were the government support in replanting smalholder old rubber program gave improvements to the rubber farmers production and income compared to before the replanting program in Gunung Toar. The government support in replanting smallholder rubber sub sector program in Gunung Toar provided positive impact to the development of villages, especially in improving rural economy. It is happened when the government’s support is continued, with serious commitments between government and the rubber farmers.
