Information is a collection of messages that are composed of symbols or meaning can be interpreted from the message or set of messages. One of the media that is used in the activities providing information is the house journal. Effective or whether a media information will eventually affect the decision for the community. In the EPIC Modelmerupakan a process of empathy (empathy), persuasion (persuation), impact (impact), and communication (communication), then desire and in the end the decision to maintain the health and maintain healthy life patterns. This research aims to know the effectiveness of the House Journal in providing health information to the public external Eka Hospital Hospital.
The method of this research is quantitative research methods. The population in this research is PengunjungRumah Ill Eka Hospital Soweto. Sampling is done by Accidental Sampling techniques using the formula Unknown Population i.e. as many as 96 people. The technique of data collection was done through the dissemination of the questionnaire. Data processing using EPIC Model (Emphaty, Persuation, Impact, Communication).
The results of this study showed that the effectiveness of the House Journal Betterhealth in providing health information to the public external Eka Hospital Soweto Hospital mencapaitingkat is very effective. This is shown by the value of an average score of dimensions of empathy of 4.35; dimensions of persuasion amounting to 4.4; the dimensions of the impact of 4.42; and the communication dimension of 4.18. EPIC value Rate of 4.34 is in range of highly effective (4.21-5.00). This is to inform that House Journal Betterhealthsa very effective in menstimuli attention, interest, desire, and ends with action by the community against the House Journal Eka Hospital Pekanbaru
