Identifikasi Udang Di Perairan Sekitar Stadion Utama Riau
The waters around the Riau Main Stadium is inhabited by many types of aquatic organism, including prawns. Scientific information of this prawns, however, is almost none. To understand the type of freshwater prawns present in that area. A research has been conducted from February to March 2018. Sampling areas were in the waters around Riau Main Stadium. Freshwater prawns sampling were conducted once/week for a month period. Prawns were caught using a scoop net (mesh size 0,3 cm). Morphometrical and meristical characteristics of the prawns were then analyzed descriptively. The prawns sampled were identified. There were 117 prawns, (38 males and 79 females). The prawn species present was consisted of a single species only, namely Macrobrachium mammillodactylus (Palaemonidae). This species characterized by its schapocherite length that is shorter than the rostrum length, rostral teeth sub-equally spaced 6-12 teeth in the dorsal and 4-5 teeth in the ventral. Mammiliform setae present in the surface of its body. Relative growth pattern shown that the growth of male is faster than the female.
