Gambaran Penderita Tuberkulosis Paru Dengan Hiv Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Januari 2014 – Desember 2018

Tuberculosis with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) caused around 300.000 deaths in the world. HIV decreased cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4) lymphocytes and this caused patients having higher risk for tuberculosis infection. The aims of this study was to know the profil of tuberculosis patients with HIV in Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) of Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province, 2014-2018. This was a descriptive retrospective study with total sampling technique. Results showed that the prevalence of tuberculosis patients with HIV in Arifin Achmad Hospital 2014-2018 was 5,8%. There were 63 cases;54 patients (85,7%) males and 9 patients (14,3%) females with the highest frequency of age 35 – 44(39,6%). The main symptomp was cough with phlegm in 24 patients (38%).
