Perbandingan Ekstraksi Dan Non-Ekstraksi Metode Kraft Dalam Pembuatan Pulp Berbahan Baku Sekam Padi
Pulp is a material in The form of fibrous processed by lignocellulose by mechanical, chemical and semichemical processes for the manufacture of paper, cardboard, fiberboard, rayon, and other cellulose derivatives. The raw material used is rice husk (Oryza sativa). The purpose of this research is to determine the comparison of rice husk pulp yield, the effect of variations in concentration and cooking time and the quality of the pulp sheets obtained. This study one method is used, namely the kraft method with different pretreatment of the sample. Research shows that the optimum yield from the process of making pulp from rice husk with non extraction kraft method is obtained at concentration of 8% and cooking time of 90 minutes with a pulp yield of 53.052% with tensile indeks of 26.59 Nm/g and tear index of 4.67 mNm2/g while for the kraft extraction method the optimum results were obtained at 8% NaOH concentration and 90 minutes cooking time with a pulp yield of 47.321% and tensile index value for the extraction kraft sulfat method meets the minimum SNI standard of 5.10 mNm2/g. Non-extraction and extraction kraft methods produce significantly different pulp yields and lignin content. The data obtained shows that kraft extraction method is better than the non-extraction kraft method.
