Analisa Keberadaan Sistem I-Gsw Untuk Perlindungan Menara Transmisi 150 Kv Terhadap Sambaran Petir Langsung
ABSTRACT
The ground wire serves as a protective phase wire from lightning strikes, problems arise when lightning strikes the ground wire. So that the lightning current flows in the ground wire, thus an increase in voltage occurs in the tower. The technology that has been developed by ITB and PT. PLN Persero is the I-GSW system functions to protect the transmission tower from lightning currents flowing into the construction of the tower due to lightning strikes directly on the ground wire. In this research the ATP-EMTP software is used as a tool for observation and analysis of the voltage rise in the tower during a lightning strike with variations in the location of the flash point, variations in the location of the I-GSW system and not having I-GSW as well as the effect of the tower ground resistance to the increase in the peak voltage by installing an I-GSW system. The farther the location of the flash point on the tower with I-GSW, the higher the voltage in the tower, however the farther the location of the flash point on the tower that has no I-GSW, the lower the voltage on the tower. The best soil type resistence results from variations in soil resistance, namely in swamp soil types because it has lower resistance than other soil types.
