Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMP
The background of this research is teachers who have difficulty in
arranging learning tools based on the 2013 curriculum. This study aims to
developmathematics problem-based learninglearning valid and practicaltools to
facilitate mathematical communication skills in the quadrilateral and triangular
material of class VII SMP. This research is development research use 4 D model
stages, Those are: define, design, develop, and disseminate. At thestage, it define
discusses the preliminary and final analysis, student analysis, task analysis,
material analysis, formulation of learning objectives. Thestage, the design
researcher designed the initial design of the syllabus, lesson plans, and student
worksheet. Thestage develop consists of two stages, namely the first stage of
expert assessment and the second stage of small group trials. In this study, it was
only up to the small group test stage, this was due to the situation at the time when
the research was being hit by the corona outbreak, so it could not maximize
product trials on a large scale. The disseminate stage is the stage of using devices
that have been developed on a wider scale. This stage is carried out in the
seminar on the results and preparation of articles for publication in journals.
Based on the results of thestage define, the researcher designed a learning
device consisting of 7 meetings with the material scope, namely: (1) the
circumference and area of a rectangle; (2) the circumference and area of a
square; (3) circumference and area of a parallelogram; (4) perimeter and area of
the trapezoid; (5) circumference and area of rhombus; (6) circumference and
area of the kite; (7) the perimeter and area of the triangle. The learning device is
then developed based on a design that has been compiled and validated by three
validators. The results of the validation analysis show that the criteria are very
valid with an average percentage of the syllabus, namely 89.81%, RPP is 92.43%,
and LKPD is 90.85%. So, it can be concluded that the problem based learning
model is feasible to be tested. The learning device was then tried out on eight
grade VII students of SMP Yabri Pekanbaru. The results of the practicality test on
LKPD showed very practical criteria with an average percentage of 89.90%.
The revised learning device is then used as a product of the results of this
study. The results of the research on the development of learning tools that have
been carried out show that the learning tools of mathematics learning tools based
on themodel problem-based learning to facilitate mathematical communication
skills in the material of quadruples and triangles in class VII SMP are valid and
practical.
