SUMARRY
Curcumin is a phenolic compound found in turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) with biological activity as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, chemopreventive and chemotherapy. This study aims to synthesize and identify and test the toxicity of the 1-benzyl-3-((E)-4-klorobenziliden)-5-((E)-4-metoxybenziliden)piperidin-4-on (CAS-4OMe-4Cl). The compound was obtained from microwave irradiation with an aldol condensation reaction between 1-benzyl-4-piperidone, 4-chlorobenzaldehyde and 4-methoxybenzaldehyde using a sodium hydroxide catalyst in ethanol solvent. The purity of the compounds was determined by TLC test, melting point and HPLC. Identification of the structure of the CAS-4OMe-4Cl compound using UV, FTIR, NMR, and HRMS spectroscopy analysis. The yield obtained from the synthesis of CAS-4OMe-4Cl compounds was 11.8%. The toxicity of the CAS-4OMe-4Cl compound was tested by the BSLT method using shrimp larvae (Artemia salina Leach). The test results showed that the CAS-4OMe-4Cl compound was toxic with a value of LC50 = 3.46 μg / mL
