This study aims to identify figure of speech, analyze the meaning and function of figure of speech in Riau Malay dialect Pangean, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research has theoretical, practical, and educative benefits. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected by using interview, recording, documentation and note-taking techniques. While the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data found as a whole consist of comparative figure of speech, namely simile figure of speech, personification figure of speech, and antithesis figure of speech. Contradictory figure of speech is hyperbole, zeugma figure of speech. Repetition figure of speech which consists of two types, namely alliteration figure of speech and repetition figure of speech. The meaning of the figure of speech obtained is the meaning of advice and the meaning of politeness. While the function of the figure of speech is to concretize, beautify the sound of speech, emphasize speech and emotion, animate the picture conveyed by the speaker, evoke a certain impression and atmosphere, and describe the speaker's feelings.
