ABSTACK
The increase in population in Pekanbaru City causes an increase in the number of movements using vehicles. Traffic flow problems that often occur cause traffic jams, air pollution, sound or noise and accidents. The problem of accidents needs to be researched with the aim of knowing the characteristics of accidents that occurred on Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Pekanbaru based on accident rate data that occurred in 2017-2021 as many as 25 incidents of accidents with 3 fatalities, 13 serious injuries and 34 minor injuries. The method used for this study uses the Accident Equivalent Number method, from the results of the accident data it shows that on Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Pekanbaru there are several characteristics of the highest accidents during the 2017-2021 period, namely based on the day of incident as many as 7 victims who had an accident on Tuesday, based on time 7 incidents that occurred during the day at 12.00-18.00, based on the type of accident 9 incidents with side-to-side collisions, based on the type of vehicle 9 incidents, namely motorbikes and cars, based on the condition of the victims 83 victims with minor injuries, based on gender 38 male victims, based on age, 14 victims aged 21-25, based on causal factors, 52 victims occurred due to human factors and based on incident locations, 8 incidents in STA 4+600 to 5+300 areas. Meanwhile, the highest accident rate occurred in 2019 with a rate of 8.38/(100JPKP) and the highest fatality rate in 2018 with a rate of 1.29 (100JPKP).
