Pengaruh Panjang Apokol Dan Dosis Pupuk Organik Cair Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Tanaman Aren (Arenga Pinnata Merr.)
ABSTRACT This study aims to improve the growth of aren palm seedlings from the differences in apokol length given various doses of NASA POC and to determine the best apocol length and the right dose of NASA POC for the growth of aren palm seedlings. The research was conducted experimentally in the form of a 3 x 4 factorial arranged using a complete randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the length of apokol (A) which consists of three levels, namely A1: apokol length 5-6 cm, A2: apokol length 7-8 cm, and A3: apokol length 9-10 cm). The second factor is the dose of NASA POC (N) consisting of 4 levels, namely N1: dose of 0 ml per polybag (without NASA POC), N2: dose of 100 ml per polybag, N3: dose of 150 ml per polybag, and N4: dose of 200 ml per polybag). Based on the factors and treatment levels, 12 treatment combinations were obtained with three replications, resulting in 36 experimental units and each experimental unit consisted of 6 sprouts with 2 sprouts as samples. The observation parameters consisted of shoot emergence time, seedling height, root length, number of leaves, stem diameter, total leaf area, root volume, crown fresh weight, root fresh weight, crown dry weight, root dry weight, and root crown ratio. Data from the study were analyzed using variance analysis and continued with Duncan's multiple range test at the 5% level using SAS application. The results showed that the combination of apokol length and NASA POC can increase seedling height, root length, number of leaves, stem diameter, total leaf area, root volume, crown fresh weight, root fresh weight, crown dry weight, and root dry weight. Apokol length of 7-8 cm with a dose of 150 ml NASA POC per polybag gave the best growth and seedlings. The length of the apokol can accelerate the emergence of plumula, increase seedling height, number of leaves, total leaf area, root volume, crown fresh weight, and crown dry weight.
