Transformasi Sosio-Kultural Masyarakat Kampung Perikanan Di Desa Koto Mesjid Kecamatan Xiii Koto Kampar Kabupaten Kampar (Studi Kasus Kampung Patin)
Abstract
Kampung Patin is the name for Koto Mesjid Village in the Kampar Regency area which currently has potential in the catfish farming sector. Previously, Koto Mesjid Village was a division village from Pulau Gadang Village, which experienced local transmigration due to the construction of a hydropower plant. Communities must adapt to a new environment and characteristics that are different from the previous region. This study aims to describe the socio-cultural characteristics of the communities of Kampung Patin before and after relocation, as well as to analyze changes in socio-cultural aspects in Kampung Patin, and the process of socio-cultural transformation of Koto Mesjid Village to Kampung Patin refers to the concept of Fisheries Village nationally. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study research strategy carried out simultaneously with historical sociology, biographical, and comparative descriptive methods used as a strategy to answer the research objectives. Selection of informants using snowball sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The data analysis used is qualitative data interpretation. The results of the study showed that the socio-cultural characteristics of the Patin Village community before and after the relocation were closely related to environmental changes, both ecological and socio-cultural in nature. Ecological changes occur in the biophysical environment (from the river to the hills), while socio-cultural changes occur in the social environment. The socio-cultural aspects (social infrastructure, social structure, and social superstructure) that have changed are closely related to the transmigration/relocation process carried out by the government and the inclusion of researchers from BPTP Marpoyan in the life of the communities of Kampung Patin. The process of socio-cultural transformation of Koto Mesjid Village into Kampung Patin was proposed by the Kampar Regency government to the Director General of Cultivation of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
