Alternatif Sistem Jaringan Pipa Transmisi Air Baku Kecamatan Pinggir Kabupaten Bengkalis
As population growth increases, water demand in Pinggir District also increases. Pinggir District is a division of Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. So, it is hoped that it will be able to improve services, especially clean water services. This research aims to find out how much clean water demand in Pinggir District and planning transmission pipes. The population projection calculation is carried out using the least squares method. Water availability is calculated using the F.J Mock method. The transmission pipeline planning in this research has 2 Water Treatment Plant (WTP) locations and 1 intake located on the Mandau River, then simulated using EPANET software. The pipe length for WTP 1 is 1,476 meters, and WTP 2 is 9,861 meters. The results of the population projection calculation for 2043 are 100,173 people. The results of the analysis of water demand calculated based on population, show that the total water demand in 2043 is 211.07 liters/second. The results of the analysis of Mandau River water availability show that the dependable discharge for raw water needs is greater than water needs. This means that the availability of raw water from the Mandau River can meet water demand in Pinggir District. From the results of the water demand discharge with a service area of 80%, the planning discharge is 168.86 liters/second, so that the diameter of the pipe to be used can be determined. The pipe used is an HDPE (High-density Polythylene) type pipe with a diameter of 20 inches. From the simulation results with EPANET, it was obtained that the head for WTP 1 was 23.48 meters and the pump power was 52.62 HP. Meanwhile, the head for WTP 2 is 78.02 meters and the pump power is 175.99 HP.
