Gambaran Kejadian Malaria Dan Faktor Iklim Di Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Periode 2019 – 2022
Malaria is still an unsettled global problem, including Indonesia. This study aims to reveal a view of malaria incidence and climate conditions in Rokan Hilir Regency during 2019-2022 using a retrospective descriptive approach based on secondary data from the P2PM Directorate of the Health Office and BMKG Riau Province.Of the 4,371 malaria cases, 3,012 new cases (68.9%) and 197 recurrent cases (4.5%). Plasmodium vivax was the considerable common cause, with 4,298 cases (98.3%), and the most commonly used diagnosis method was the rapid diagnostic test (RDT). Almost all cases (99.13%) were uncomplicated malaria cases, and most cases (87.7%) were found through passive case detection (PCD). A total of 4,155 cases (95.06%) were Indigenous transmission, most of which (95.09%) originated from the Pasir Limau Kapas Subdistrict, and the rest were imported cases. The average air temperature and humidity in Rokan Hilir District is 27.1°C ± 0.53 and 81.9% ± 3.29, and rainfall in Pasir Limau Kapas Subdistrict is 185.1mm ± 111.8. Climatic factors (temperature, humidity, rainfall) and malaria incidence reveal various graphics. These findings are expected to be the basis for preserving the malaria elimination certificate in Rokan Hilir Regency.
