Opini Publik Terhadap Program Pengembangan Bandara Sultas Syarif Kasim II di Pekanbaru
People need transportation in the conduct of activities. Along with the development of technology, one of the tools of effective long-distance transportation of the aircraft. The existence of this community needs, making the airport became one of the central activities of some communities. Adequate facilities, service and good communication, are needed in the management of an airport for to create a sense of comfort to the public. So to meet the needs of the audience will be facilities and better services, the airport manager Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru seek to improve quality by developing the quality of the airport. This study uses qualitative research methods. The subject of this research is all current users of airport services performed research, and the object is taken by some informants wearing purpossive sampling method coupled with accidental sampling method. The necessary data sources include primary and secondary data. The purpose of this study were (1) To find out public opinion on airport development program Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru, managed by PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura II Pekanbaru and (2) To find out what factors influence public opinion against the airport development program . Results showed that (1) the need for a complete and accurate explanation of the manager of the airport to cope with problems and complaints airport users. (2) To overcome the difference in perception between the public and also the airport manager, it requires intensive communication to provide clear information to the public about the situation that occurred in the area of the airport as well as the reasons and the right solution to the problem.
