Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tepung Akar Tuba (Derris Elliptica Benth) Untuk Mengendalikan Hama Kutu Daun Persik Myzus Persicae Sulzer (Homoptera: Aphididae) Pada Tanaman Cabai
Peach aphids, Myzus persicae Sulzer (Homoptera: Aphididae) is a major pest on pepper plants. These pests are polifagus which has many host plants, especially in pepper plants. One alternative that can be used to minimize the application of chemical pesticides is an extract powder from the tuba root (Derris elliptica Benth). The research was conducted at the Plant Pests laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from July 2011 until September 2011. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 6 treatments and 4 replications. This study uses multiple concentrations extract powder of tuba root, including the 0 g / l of water, 2 g / l of water, 4 g / l of water, 6 g / l of water, 8 g / l of water and 10 g/l of water. The result showed that the concentration extract powder of tuba root 2 g/l concentration of water is suitable for controlling peach aphids, Myzus persicae Sulzer to the percentage of mortality of 89.99%. Concentration of 0.31% is better to cause 95% mortality of the peach aphids.
