Economic hardship is a very easy thing audible in every aspect of life of the people of Indonesia. This led the crime rate in Indonesia is high. Each person will meet the needs of their inward in many ways. Lots of objects that can be used to commit crimes in the context of the crime of theft, one object of the sap of the rubber. Based on the data obtained by the authors in the case of theft of latex rubber from the Police Sector Lubuk Batu Jaya, it is known that the number of criminal cases of theft latex rubber from 2010 to 2012 has increased. Be interesting study when viewed in criminological about the factors that cause the occurrence of the crime of theft latex rubber in the jurisdiction of the Police Sector Lubuk Batu Jaya Indragiri Hulu. The purpose of this thesis, namely: first, to determine the factors that cause the occurrence of the crime of theft latex rubber in the jurisdiction of Police Lubuk Batu Jaya Indragiri Hulu, second, to know the modus operandi of theft latex rubber in the jurisdiction of Police Lubuk Batu Jaya, third, to know the prevention and control against theft latex rubber in the jurisdiction of Police Lubuk Batu Jaya Indragiri Hulu. From the research problem, there are three main things that can be inferred. First, the factors that cause the occurrence of the crime of theft are economic factors, factors not any jobs and environmental factors. Second, the modus operandi of the theft it was before the act, the perpetrators had coordinated the employees of PT. PTPN V, the actors perform tapping rubber trees and freeze the gum first, burglaries carried out in groups and performed at night. Third, perfom preventive and repressive measures to reduce the crime. Authors suggested, first, expected from the PT. PTPN V to increase the wages of Labour Day Job (BHL). Second, the PT. PTPN V take firm action against employees involved in the crime of the theft. Third, it is expected the Police Sector Lubuk Batu Jaya to socialize with the way legal education to legal risk and of the PT. PTPN V further improve the re-monitoring of company assets.
