Forest Management Unit's organizations defined as a process of planning/ preparation of forest area design based on the basic functions and purposes which aims to realize the efficient management and sustainable forest. Success in achieving the goals of an organization of highly influenced by the role and performance of the employees. Performance of the organization is the answer to the success or failure of the established organizational goals. Competence and discipline is one of the factors that can affect the performance of an organization. The purpose of this study is to analyze the significant influence of competence and discipline on the performance of the Organization of Forest Management Units (FMU) Riau Province. This research was conducted in four (4) Organization of Forest Management Unit (FMU) Riau Province.
According to the research methods included into the survey. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. This research is quantitative descriptive, and the nature of this research is descriptive explanatory. The method used is the census sample with a sample of 36 people. Data collection techniques using three approaches namely interviews, questionnaires and documentation so that all necessary data can be collected quickly and systematically. Analysis of data using multiple linear regression analysis to examine the effect of the independent variable inferential competence and discipline on the dependent variable employee performance.
The results showed competence and discipline significant effect on employee performance Organisation Forest Management Unit (FMU) Riau Province. Competence and discipline work together and partially positive and significant impact on employee performance Organisation Forest Management Unit (FMU) Riau Province. It gives the sense that the better competence and discipline employees who held the higher the employee's performance. Competence is more dominant than the effect of employee discipline Organization Forest Management Unit (FMU) Riau Province. To improve the performance of the organization KPH Riau province needs to be done providing support to employees through increased nature independent and confident, staffing is done by creating a clear job description so that employees can be placed in accordance with the job descriptionny, infrastructure and facilities
