Pengaruh Bentuk Dan Jumlah Perekat Terhadap Kualitas Dan Aplikasi Biobriket Dari Serbuk Gergaji Kayu Kulim (Scorodocarpus Borneensis Becc.)
Briquettes are biomass-based alternative energy sources. Biomass used in this study is Kulim sawdust. Kulim trees (Scorodocarpus borneensis Becc.) Is an endemic plant that is spread almost throughout the territory of Indonesia. The purpose of this study include use of waste Kulim sawdust as raw material of briquettes, studied the influence of the shape and total adhesive toward characteristics and determine the composition of briquettes that meet the quality standards of SNI 01-6235-2000. The Special treatment of raw materials involves several processes including drying, carbonization and filtration / uniformity. The independent variable in this study is the concentration of starch adhesive (10%, 15% and 20%) and shape of briquettes (cylinder solid, fire dough and perforated cone) while the fixed variables are weight of sawdust is 100 gram and a particle size of sawdust that is 90 mesh , Test parameters including the quality of which is the calorific value of briquettes, moisture content, ash content, flame color and test applications. The results showed that the form and amount of adhesive provides significant influence on the characteristics of briquettes. The best briquette is a sample with perforated cone shape and concentration of adhesive 20% which had a water content of 0.7%; 1.9802% ash content; 6794.77 calorific value, yellow-blue flame color, flaming time 363 second and the temperature increase 0,813 ° C / s.
