Sintesis Senyawa Kalkon Turunan 4’-Metoksi Asetofenon Dan Uji Toksisitas Dengan Metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT)
Chalcone is one of secondary metabolites included class of flavonoids that have been reported to posses many of biological activities such as anti-microbial, anti-tumor, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-malaria and anti-cancer. Three chalcone analogues 4’-methoxyacetophenone (E)-1-(4’-methoxyphenyl)-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (RMG1), (E)-1-(4’-methoxyphenyl)-3-(3-hidroxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (RMG2) and (E)-1-(4’-methoxyphenyl)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (RMG3) were synthesized under microwave irradiation using kalium hydroxide as catalyst. The compounds identificated based on the interpretation of spectroscopic data including UV, IR, 1H-NMR and MS. The toxicity activity of chalcones was determined using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test method againts larvae of Artemia salina Leach and showed the activity with LC50 value were 1,58 x 1029 μg/mL, 1,216 μg/mL and 0,787 μg/mL, respectively indicated that chalcone RMG2 and RMG3 were potential as anticancer, and chalcone RMG1 is not potential as anticancer.
