This research was conducted at PT Riau Pos Intermedia Pekanbaru, aims to determine the effect of work experience and job performance of the promotion. This study uses primary data through questionnaires conducted on 66 respondents. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method, the test instrument (validity and reliability testing), the classic assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis (F test and t test) with SPSS. This means that the work experience and job performance simultaneously have a significant influence on the promotion of PT. Pekanbaru City Riau Pos Intermedia. That means work experience variable partially significant effect on the promotion while job performance obtained t value means that work performance variables also partially significant effect on promotion at PT. Pekanbaru City Riau Pos Intermedia. The most dominant variable affecting the promotion is job performance. Note the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.218. What this means is that the contribution of the influence of work experience and job performance against promotion at PT. Pekanbaru City Riau Pos Intermedia is at 21.8% while the remaining 78.2% is influenced by other variables that are not addressed in this study.
