Tingkat Kepuasan Mahasiswa Pada Sistem Informasi Akademik Universitas Riau
Information and communication technology has been developed very rapidly. This become an important role in the development, competitiveness, and the key factor for the survival of an educational institution. Utilization of information and communication technology has been implemented by the Riau University through procurement by the academic information system of Riau University who serves as integrator of academic information in various academic units (course/faculty) as well as a tool of communication between the academic communities. This study adapted a model of End User Computing Satisfaction with the additional indicators of security and privacy and also speed of platform response. This purpose of this study was to determinate how much the level of students satisfaction on Riau University’s academic information system and to know what indicators should be improved to increase student satisfaction.
This study used quantitative reasearch methods, with descriptive quantitative data analysis methods. Collecting data in this study conducted by distributing questionaires directly to 269 respondents who are students of Riau University. Respondents are determined through the proportional random sampling technique.
The result showed that the level of student satisfaction on academic information system of the Riau University amounted to 2,742 with high category is shown from the result of data processing that are visible from seven indicators which are content, accuracy, format, easy of use, timeliness, security and privacy, and also speed of platform response. However, academic information system still needs improvement in indicators easy of use and timeliness because these indicators has a lower satisfaction level value. Improvements needed in order to increase the level of student satisfaction as direct user of Riau University’s academic informastion system.
