Fisheries production Dumai city 90% came from businesses sea fishing. Fisheries production of the catch of 2006-2010 has decreased by almost 50%. This is due to the utilization of fishing carried out continuously so that the sustainability of the fish decreases. The research was conducted on 2nd of April 2016 in Dinas Perikanan dan Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Dumai, Riau Province. The purpose of research for knowing the potential of sustainable pelagis fish and analyzing the maximum of fisheries production with drift gillnet. The method of research that is survey methode. The result of research shows that the maximum of marine fisheries production about 252.76 ton/year with optimum fishing effort 7110 trip/year and index weight diversity of fish species in Dumai seawaters about 0.201639 that thus H’
