Pembuatan Pulp Dari Eceng Gondok Dan Daun Nanas
The pulp industry generally uses wood as raw material for pulp making. The limited number of wood raw materials causes a raw material crisis. Indonesia is a rich country of agricultural and plantation products, one of which is pineapple leaves. Pineapple leaves contain 71.5% cellulose content that can be used for pulp making. This research uses semi mechanical soda method. The fixed variable of research is the cooking temperature of 100oC, atmospheric pressure and the raw material ratio of the cooking solution is 1: 6. The variables changed in the study were the composition of pulp of water hyacinth pulp and pulp leaf pulp1: 0, 0: 1, 2: 3, 3: 2 and the immersion time in the bleaching process 2, 4, 6 hours. Water hyacinth and pineapple leaves cooked using 2% NaOH solution, then bleaching process with 5% ClO2. After that the pulp is mixed according to the composition of the mixture that has been designed. The lowest Cl metal yield was 0.22% at 2 hours immersion. The best result of this research is mixing of 3: 1 water hyacinth and pineapple leaves, Thickness 487 μm, porosity 16,16 sec / 100cc, tearing strength 407 mN, With earnings tensile strength 1,184 KN, brightness 20,73% ISO and opacity 96,920%Which is almost in line with SNI 14-6519-2001 standard.
