Sintesis Dan Karakterisasi Senyawa Kalkon (E)-1-(4-(4-Bromobutoksi)Fenil)-3-(3,4-Dimetoksifenil)Prop-2-En-1-On
Chalcone is one of the secondary metabolite compounds of the flavonoid group that can be found in various types of plants in nature that have various kinds of biological activity. Chalcone (E)-1-(4-(4-bromobuthoxy)phenyl)-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-prop-2-en-1-one (CL2-Br) was obtained by SN2 substitution reactions between chalcone compound (E)-1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (CL2) and linker 1,4-dibromobutane used reflux method and addition K2CO3 as catalyst. Chalcone CL2 was obtained by condensation reactions between 4-hydroxyacetophenone and 3,4-dimethoxy benzaldehyde with used microwave and KOH as base catalyst. The purity of compounds was analysed by TLC test, melting point test and HPLC analysis. Characterization of structure of the compounds was obtained by analyzing the spectrum results obtained from UV, FTIR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The yield was obtained from chalcone CL2 and CL2-Br respectively is 58,14% and 10,79%. Keyword: Alkyl spacer molecule, chalcone, synthesis.
