Struktur Komunitas Gastropoda Pada Hutan Mangrove Desa Lalang Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak
Gastropod is the largest class of Mollusc Phylum. Mangrove forest is one of habitats occupied by gastropods. The structure of the gastropod community is influenced by changes in environmental factors. This research was conducted in Lalang Village Sungai Apit Subdistrict Siak Regency, in March 2018, aimed to know the structure of gastropod community which includes: species, density, diversity, uniformity, dominance and pattern of distribution. To support the research data, were observed species and density of mangroves, and the quality of the waters. The method used in this research was survey method. Sampling using a line transect drawn from the highest tidal boundary to the sea by crossing the intertidal zone and 3 quadratic plot (1m×1m) placed along the transect line within the mangrove ecosystem. The results of the study found 6 spesies of gastropods, with the density value of each research station was between 3.57-4.84 ind/m2. The value of diversity index ranges from 1.02-1.11, while the value of uniformity index obtained was 0.48-0.62. The dominance index value ranged from 0.14-0.17 and the index value of the distribution pattern ranged from 0.63-0.73. The dominant mangrove species in the area was Sonneratia alba.
