ABSTRACT

This research analyzes the changing socioeconomic status of society in Palas village. This phenomenon is a social phenomenon that occurs in people who have a change in low socioeconomic status for the better. The theory used is the theory of social change. This research uses descriptive research type with quantitative approach. The technique of determining the sample is done by random sample of stratified proportional by determining 45 respondents. The author uses data collection techniques by observation, interview and documentation. Based on the research conducted, the authors found that with the construction of 1,000 free home footprints brought changes to the social status of the people who get the free home tread. Social changes that occur in society there are five aspects of change namely housing, employment, income, home footprints and education. Changes in the socio-economic status of the community can be seen from changes in community development such as ownership of oil palm and rubber plantation.
