This thesis discusses the implementation of the development program for
corruption convicts at the Class IIB Pekanbaru state detention center.
Criminalization is currently not only a place to spend the sentence of someone
who has violated the law, but also used as a place for the rehabilitation and social
reintegration of prisoners. Likewise, coaching convicts are also provided with
guidance so that when they are free they no longer repeat their actions.
The research method used in this thesis is the library research method
from research journals, books, and websites related to this thesis research. This
study uses a historical approach with a qualitative descriptive analysis model, the
type of research is literature study. Data collection methods were through
documentary analysis and conducting interviews with resource persons. The
theory used in this thesis is the Criminological Theory.
The coaching process at the Class IIB remand center has been running,
but until now the coaching process has not been running optimally, due to the
overcapacity of the remand center. So that the stages of guidance carried out are
not in accordance with the case of each prisoner concerned. In other words, the
coaching carried out was not right on target.
