Aplikasi Jenis Zat Pengatur Tumbuh Terhadap Pertumbuhan Setek Tanaman Lada (Piper Nigrum L.) Pada Media Tanam Cocopeat
This study aims to determine the effect of plant growth regulators (PGR),
namely onion extract, Rootone-F, and superior plant hormone (SPH); and
determine the best PGR for the growth of pepper cuttings on cocopeat growing
media. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden at the Faculty of
Agriculture, Riau University from May to September 2019. This study used a
completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments given were onion extract,
Rootone-F, and SPH. The parameters observed were shoot emergence age,
percentage of sprouting cuttings, shoot height, shoot diameter, number of leaves,
root length, number of roots, and root volume. The data obtained from the research
results were analyzed statistically using the Analysis of Variance and then
continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that there was an
effect of PGR on the number of roots. Rootone-F application was able to provide
high yields on shoot height, number of leaves, number of roots, root length, root
volume, and percentage of sprouting cuttings. Application of onion extract can
produce large shoot diameter. The application of SPH can accelerate the appearance
of shoots on pepper cuttings.
