ABSTRACT
Heavy equipment is an important factor in the implementation of
construction projects. The purpose of using this heavy equipment is to make it
easier for humans to carry out the construction work of a building structure, so
that the expected results can be achieved more easily in a relatively short time.
This study aims to examine the use of heavy equipment in class A aggregate
foundation layer work on Jalan Rimbo Tampui and Jalan Rimbo Cangkuok,
Tambang District, Kampar Regency. In this study, for class A aggregate base
layer jobs the costs are calculated using a cheaper alternative than the cost of
realizing the job. The conclusions obtained include, for an alternative work for 1
day, the tools needed are 7 dump trucks, 1 wheel loader unit, 1 motor grader unit,
1 vibratory roller roller unit 3 water tank units, with a total cost of Rp.
41.885.668,58.
