This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, changes in exchange
rates (exchange rates), the effect of inflation and changes in exchange rates
(exchange rates) on the business credit of the People, Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises (MSMEs) of the Tempe Tofu Industry in Pekanbaru City 2012-2019.
The method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative methods.
The population was 96 respondents and the development of business credit for the
people of UMKM in the tempe industry in Pekanbaru were 96 entrepreneurs. The
sampling method used was the census method and the purposive sampling
method. divided at 12 months (8 x 12 months = 96 data).
The results of this study indicate that partially and simultaneously the
variables of inflation and exchange rates have a positive and significant effect
with a significant value less than 0.05, namely 0.000 to the MSME people's
business credit in 2012 - 2019. Contribution of the influence of independent
variables (inflation and exchange rates) to the variable dependent (Micro, Small
and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) Tofu and Tempe Industry in Pekanbaru City) is
89.6%, while the remaining 10.4% is influenced by other variables not included in
this study.
