Pola Penggunaan Obat Antidiabetik Oral Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di Puskesmas Tenayan Raya Kota Pekanbaru
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by
hyperglycemia caused by defects in insulin secretion, insulin action abnormalities or both.
Oral antidiabetic drugs are one of the pharmacological therapies in the 4 pillars of treatment
for type 2 DM. The sample was carried out retrospectively from the patient's medical record
with total sampling method. Of the 102 patients, the most age groups were 46-55 years, 36
patients were male and 66 patients were female. Most patients' occupations are housewives
with the most education level are SMA/MTa. Most patients’ suffer duration were < 5 years.
The usage patterns consist of usage duration, most commonly used drugs and most widely
used drug combination. The most usage duration of oral antidiabetic drugs were 1-3 years,
the most commonly used oral antidiabetic drug is Metformin and the most widely used
combination of oral antidiabetic drugs are Metformin and Glibenclamide.
