Pengaruh Edukasi Dan Konseling Menyusui Terhadap Pengetahuan, Sikap Dan Efikasi Diri Pada Ibu Menyusui Di Puskesmas Sidomulyo
The best nutrition for babies is breast milk (ASI) which is given to babies
for 6 months, without any additional food. The achievement of exclusive
breastfeeding at the Puskesmas Sidomulyo Pekanbaru in 2019 was low at 50.1%,
this figure has not yet reached the national target of 80%. Factors that influence
exclusive breastfeeding for mothers are knowledge, attitudes and self-efficacy.
Efforts to increase exclusive breastfeeding is to increase information about
breastfeeding. Health care facilities assist mothers in increasing exclusive
breastfeeding by providing breastfeeding education and counseling. This study
aims to determine the effect of breastfeeding education and counseling on
knowledge, attitudes and self-efficacy of breastfeeding mothers at the Puskesmas
Sidomulyo Pekanbaru. The data collection method used in this study was a
questionnaire sheet aimed to determine the characteristics, knowledge, attitudes
and self-efficacy of breastfeeding mothers. The type of research used is a quasiexperimental
research design with one group pretest and posttest. The sampling
technique used was a purposive sampling method with a total sample of 115
nursing mothers. The results of this study showed that the mean score of the pretest
education and counseling for breastfeeding mothers were knowledge (58.60),
attitudes (54.64) and self-efficacy (56.03) and the mean score of the posttest
education and counseling with knowledge at (68.12), attitude at (63.06) and selfefficacy
at (67.95). There was a significant difference in knowledge (p=0.000),
attitude (p=0.003), and self-efficacy (p=0.000) of breastfeeding mothers after
posttest education and breastfeeding counseling.
