Hubungan Kadar Polusi Udara Dan Kejadian Covid-19 Di Kota Pekanbaru
Air pollution is a phenomenon that is dangerous to ecological systems and
surrounding conditions due to the entry of chemicals, foreign particles, or
biological matter into the atmosphere that exceeds certain concentrations and
causes discomfort to humans or other living organisms to cause damage to the
natural environment. During the current COVID-19 pandemic there are factors
that can affect the increase in COVID-19 events, namely air concentration,
number of tests and weather indicators. This study aims to find out the
relationship between air pollution and COVID-19 events in Pekanbaru City. This
research design is a time series analytics conducted data capture in March 2020-
October 2021. This research was conducted by taking data from the Pekanbaru
City Health Office, pekanbaru city environment agency, and meteorology and
geophysics agency. The results of this study showed that based on spearman rho
correlation statistics tests, there was a positive relationship between air pollution
and the incidence of COVID-19 in Pekanbaru City (p value = 0.00).
