Optimasi Waktu Produksi Metabolite Sekunder Aktinomisetes Asal Arboretum Universitas Riau: Uji Daya Hambat Terhadap Escherichia Coli Dan Salmonella Typhi
Escherichia coli is a bacterium that causes diarrhea and Salmonella typhi is a
bacterium that causes salmonellosis, causing typhoid fever. The aim of this research
is to determine the optimal time for actinomycetes arboretum riau university to
inhibit growth of Escherichia coli and Salmonella thyphi that will bring disease
inside digestive tract. This research is done by adopting paper disc method alongside
utilizing MHA (Mueller Hinton Agar) medium. The results obtained from this study
are actinomycetes isolates have the ability to obtain secondary metabolites in
different incubation times, the optimum incubation time in producing secondary
metabolites in actinomycetes isolates with codes B1.06,C2.18,C2.20 against
Escherichia coli. is on the 10th, 20th, 8th day of incubation with each inhibition on
the 10th day 10.7 mm, 20th 15.5 mm, 8th 10.9 mm. The optimum time to produce
secondary metabolites in actinomycetes isolates with codes B1.06,C2.18,C2.20
against Salmonella typhi was on the 13th, 14th, and 8th day of incubation with their
respective inhibitory powers on the 8th day. 13th 9.8mm, 14th 10.4mm, 8th 14.4mm.
