Model Tingkat Kebisingan Dan Dampak Existing Kebisingan Terhadap Lingkungan Dijalan-Jalan Utama Kota Pekanbaru - Riau

Pekanbaru is the capital city of Riau Province with a high rate of
population and vehicle growth. Based on the data from Riau Central Statistics Agency
(BPS), in 2004 the population of Pekanbaru City was 689,834 and has increased by
2.6% annually, until 2018 the population recorded was 1,117,359. Meanwhile, the
growth of Pekanbaru city vehicles reaches an average of 5.7% annually, so that in 2018
the number of vehicles is 1,097,026. As a big city, the problem of road noise is
inavitable, the volume of vehicles that continues to increase every year causes the noise
level on the road which exceed the threshold value so that it has an impact on three
aspects, namely environmental, economic and social aspects. The purpose of this
research is to develop a model of the noise level of main roads based on the Nickson and
Johnson model, and to make a noise contour map using Surfer Software and to analyze
the impact of noise due to traffic activities in Pekanbaru City. Research Method: This
research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research was carried out on the main
roads of Pekanbaru city by taking data on vehicle noise levels at 12 measurement spots.
The measurement time was carried out based on the ISO R-2006 Standard in 3 ways,
namely in the morning at 07:00 - 09:00 WIB, noon at 11:00 - 13:00 WIB and evening at
15: 00-18:00 WIB. The road noise level data collection was carried out for 2 months.
The equipments used in collecting road noise data were Sound Level Meters (SLM),
Laptop, GPS, timer, measuring instruments, writing instruments and cameras. In this
study, a survey was conducted to obtain information about the community's response to
noise where this survey consisted of questionnaires and interviews with the community.
The sampling technique was done using the Cluster Random Sampling method.
Sampling was based on the location of the main roads in Pekanbaru, namely Jalan
Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Tuanku Tambusai, Jalan Arifin Ahmad, Jalan Riau, Jalan
Soekarno Hatta, Jalan Imam Munandar, Jalan Ahmad Yani and Jalan Diponegoro.
Result and Discussion : The results of noise measurements on the main roads in
Pekanbaru show that the noise level ranges from 70 dB- 85 dB which exceeds the
threshold value regulated by the Ministry of Health Regulation No.718 / Men.Kes / Per /
XI / 1987 regarding health-related noise. Based on several studies that have been carried
out referring to road noise theory in the Handbook of Acoustic Noise Control, Jendral
Sudirman street is used as a sample for the development of a road noise model based on
the Nickson and Johnson model. The spread of vehicle noise is greatly influenced by the
contours of the area and buildings along the main roads. Therefore, the development of
the Nickson and Johnson model it is necessary to determine by the constants of
proportionality in the noise level equations with the range of 1.0 < x < 1.5. The results
of the development of this model have been simulated with the actual noise level on the

main roads of Pekanbaru city which in principle have a noise level difference of ± 2 dB.
Based on the survey results, the level of vehicle noise is disturbing from the ecological,
social and economic aspects so that the majority of respondents give negative responses
to the level of vehicle noise on the road and it has reached the level of disturbing the
environment. Conclusion: In this study, the traffic noise level model on Jalan Jendral
Sudirman has the same characteristics as the noise level of the Nickson model and the
Johnson model. Novelty: The traffic noise level model on Jalan Jendral Sudirman was
developed to ensure the prediction of road noise levels. The difference in noise level
between the Nickson model and the Johnson model is about 2 dB with the actual traffic
noise level. The development of these two models can be used to predict noise on other
roads which will be considered for the development of urban areas. The contour map of
Jendral Sudirman street noise level simulated using Surfer Software shows the same
noise level intensity in the morning, afternoon and evening. The reduction in roadside
noise levels is in accordance with the development of a noise level model. Based on the
measurement and simulation results indicate that the vehicle noise level on the road is
above the threshold value. The results of field studies from the ecological aspect
illustrate a high percentage of vehicle noise disturbances on the road.
